WEBSITE HELPS SMALL CHURCH YOUTH MINISTRIES A new website has been launched with the aim of assisting youth ministries with resources they need. It is especially valuable for small churches with very little or no youth ministry resources. The site - jljym.com is based on JUST LIKE JESUS YOUTH MINISTRIES and is edited by Christian Holley, a 1992 graduate of Harding University and youth ministry leader at the Archdale Church of Christ in Charlotte, North Carolina. "The site is a free power packed online youth and family ministry warehouse with Jesus-based, Jesus-focused, and Jesus-centered resources for youth ministry leaders, parents, teens, and volunteers," Holley said. JLJYM aims to teach the truth in love by linking families to positive ministry tools that promote character traits just like Jesus, including strong minds (spiritual), strong bodies (service), and strong relationships (social). JLJYM is a concept based on the life of the young Jesus Christ as described in Luke2:52 and is the core of Holley's ministry. "Growing up in a small south Georgia church was difficult at times because our youth and family ministry resources were very limited," Holley said. "This became the fuel behind my ambition to help youth ministry leaders, parents, teens, and volunteers in smaller churches find resources they seek and need to become soul winners in their local communities." Here is a sampling of the website's content: online Bible Studies, Christian a cappella music, scholarships for teen missions and links, home improvement articles and links, scholarships for teen service projects, free youth ministry tools and downloads, Christian university links, campus ministry links, youth camp links and much more. Russ McCullough, elder at Archdale, noted: "We were attracted by the interactive and supportive aspects as proposed by the Just Like Jesus approach. We were enthusiastic about it's implementation. It has since brought positive results to the Lord's church here in Charlotte. We have seen a tremendous increase in the number of non-Christian friends invited to worship and study by the young people being ministered to by JLJYM."
